Adequate. not 'as it said...

Liked: Check in smooth, rooms lovely, although we were not in the main hotel building as expected. Food excellent and wait/hotel staff very attentive and personable. Really nice grounds and lovely old building.
Disliked: When booking it was not mentioned that the pool was not completed on schedule for end of April nor were the renovations complete, Some areas and corridors were sub standard and some unfinished, not 5 star as described. No compendiums in rooms detailing facilities or even how to connect to WIFI, the television was not wifi/internet connected, only freeview, so there was no ability to use Netflix etc even as a screenshare from your own device, bizarre in 2024! The spa facilities were a little unhelpful, we had to go and seek out the hot tub, no signage, and were told by staff that hotel guests could use it after 3 on first come first served basis, not great for a full hotel.. Again a lack of info in rooms regarding services etc. phonecalls to spa went unanswered,

Liked: A great deal & an upgrade to stay overnight and even though the spa wasn't operational it was a very relaxing time. The staff were fabulous & the food was amazing.

Liked: Location and grounds.
Disliked: Rooms were a little tired. Pillows on bed were too large and uncomfortable. TV in one of the rooms did not work and spent quite some time waiting for it to reboot. Breakfast seemed to be in a different room from other guests and table was wobbly.

Liked: Beautiful property. Bedroom was lovely and the dining room and lounge area were wonderful and comfortable. I can see why people get married here
Disliked: Nothing. Even though there is restoration going on in the pool area, we wouldn’t have used them anyway.
