Good

Liked: It’s in a good location and plenty within walking distance
Disliked: The rooms are very small and cramped, we were three people + three suitcases and could hardly move. There is also no fan or air con, only a window to try and get some air flow.

Liked: The redeeming quality of this hotel is the staff. In general, they were pleasant and helpful, but the star of the group for us was definitely Charlie. Not only was he a nice fellow, but he went beyond the call of duty to help us with a serious issue we encountered, unrelated to the hotel! There was no obligation to do so, but he did it anyway! If you ever stumble upon this review: thank you very much, Charlie! You are one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland.
Disliked: Like most hotels in Ireland, the value is just not there. In this case, you are paying the cost of a 3 or 4-star hotel, in many parts of Europe and the rest of the world, for a 2-star stay: no comfort amenities (A/C or even a basic tabletop fan), tiny space, very tired decor with very poor paintwork loosely splashed on walls. When chaining up multiple such bookings on the same trip, it significantly mars the experience.

Nice atmosphere and good location...

Liked: It’s a close walk to Botanical Gardens, the Cemetery and Gravediggers Pub
Disliked: Bed was hard, couldn’t get the shower water turned on fully or hot, and stairs were shallow and tricky to go up. The shower tiles grout at floor outside shower door looked a little yucky, and my room was over pub…

Liked: Good location in nice area with easy access to city
Disliked: Decor and carpets in room were greatly in need of replacing due to wear and staining. Some fittings and accessories were not working.

Liked: The location was great for accessing central Dublin and the airport. The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodated our early arrival.
Disliked: Our room was directly above the music of the party downstairs. We couldn't sleep until the very loud music went off at midnight.
