Liked: The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden at the back and lots of colourful plant pots at the front which gives it a warm, homely feel. Kate the owner is lovely and very informative of where to visit. Home made cake available daily. Attention to detail was fantastic from the wide selection of teas, coffees etc in the room and a flask you could use to hold milk for these, to the toiletries you could use in the room. The room and the hose in general were clean and well presented. All staff were friendly. The breakfast provided was great and generous in portion as was the choice of breakfast.

Liked: Really enjoyed recommended drive and walks Buttermere Lake, Honister pass, slate mine, Whinnlater forest- birds and squirrels. Do take advice to book dinners.

Liked: Great location, clean and comfy accommodation, such a great find. Breakfast was amazing and the host was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be visiting again.

Liked: What a gem of a place this was. Kate went above and beyond to make our stay with our ‘granddog’ just the best. He was in his element. The room was lovely, comfortable and very clean. The little extras making it even more wonderful. The breakfast was amazing. Will definitely be staying again
