Oaks Perth Hotel

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here...

Liked: Perfect location, close to everything including transport, supermarket, restaurants, shopping malls and sightseeing locations.
Disliked: The shower was over a bath so perhaps not suitable for some.

Great location, friendly staff but...

Liked: City location was excellent, staff were friendly and attentive to requests. Room and bathroom were spacious.
Disliked: No bedside light at all on my side which was inconvenient. No light over kitchen area either - only rang hood light and ambient light from the room. Air-conditioner was noisy (rattle and vibrations) we were there for 5 days but there was no room makeup service offered (although we were able to ask for clean towels and extra blankets on request). There was no rubbish chute on our floor and without a maid service, we accumulated quite a bit of rubbish over the 5 days. Additionally, there was no drawers for putting away clothes and only open rack for hanging clothes. We had to mostly live out of our suitcase for five nights.

Liked: Location was good for us.
Disliked: That they didn't inform us about how difficult parking was at the front of the hotel. For drop off of luggage before you find the parking facilities.

Liked: Very centrally located hotel, minutes walk from train station.
Disliked: Our view was the back of other buildings, and a waste skip! But that’s what we paid for. We didn’t upgrade to a “room with a view”.

Excellent location & very good...

Liked: Excellent location. Very good breakfast Room comfortable & clean
Disliked: Didn’t like the shower in the bath. Not safe for older guests who need to step out of the bath after showering and also can get slippery without the bath mat. I would like to see more of walk in shower than baths.
