A very nice hotel and...

Liked: A very nice hotel and ideal for exploring the local area. Good breakfast.
Disliked: I stayed in the lodge rather than the main hotel, which was fine, except I had to walk through the rain for breakfast.

Liked: Good location
Disliked: I got the impression that the ran the hotel with the minimum number of staff. Not once did I see anybody working at the reception desk

Very nice hotel with excellent...

Liked: Room was enormous. Bathroom enormous. Staff excellent. Evening meal very good. Breakfast excellent. Decent location.
Disliked: Possibly a bit old fashioned for some people’s taste.

Great 4 posters!

Liked: Had a great room with twin 4 poster beds - very novel. Lovely and comfortable.

Bad hotel

Disliked: We got an overheated room ( room 24) at the very back of the hotel. The walls are so thin, you hear all the washing and splashing of your neighbour. Very unfortunate when they decide to take a bath at 0445. There is a pump in the hotel that makes a terrible racket and wakes you up every 4 hours. That is at 2200, at 0200 and again at 0600. To avoid !

Exceptional

Liked: This hotel is in the green and is so peaceful. It has a lot of character and unique feel. The room was very spacious, clean and a lovely bed. The breakfast was wonderful and you can order any hot meal. After I left i left my tablet by mistake and they mailed it to me to London free of charge. Grateful
