I think I stumbled on...
Liked: The room was OK.
Disliked: THE MEALI do not like being charged a service charge automatically on a restaurant bill. To add 12.5% to a two person (mediocre burger and chips and a very strange Lemon dessert plonked on some Coco pops! . . . . . I kid you not!) dinner which is £60 and for the diner to then to have to request for the service charge to be removed at the till is forcing an embarrassing situation on to the customer. If I think the service is exemplary then I would give a traditional tip. Unfortunately, this type of forced practice is all too common these days. Also, training the staff on how to handle cash would be beneficial. Having two staff trying to work out how to cancel the presumed card payment and then accept cash was laughable. Maybe this is yet another ploy to retain the service charge.THE ROOMThe room has very few spare sockets available for phone/laptop charging (without moving heavy furniture to find hidden sockets). WiFi is very poor and we had the added bonus of both the hot and cold taps in the ensuite only producing very hot water! We were in a 1st floor room ( conveniently facing the bins, restaurant, staff congregation area). The walls are VERY thin between rooms and even worse between floors. At around 12.30am we endured hearing a group in the room above enjoying very noisy sex sessions over course of an hour or so complete with headboard banging in 15 minute intervals ( one female moaning, shouting loudly with multiple male voices . . . Was this on the extras?). Around 2am we then had the lovely strong aroma of cannabis wafting through the windows and lots more noise from the room above. 4am we then a heard squeaking headboard and moaning from the room next door ( I was now wondering if we'd stumbled into a hedonism weekend). Around 6.45 the disturbed sleep was followed with the bin lorry emptying numerous commercial waste bins. To say the sleep was disturbed would be a big understatement. All in all, I would recommend staying in a different hotel.

Not child friendly
Liked: . Z s
Disliked: I only booked because it has a pool for my 6 year old. On arrival we were told that child pool access was limited and we had missed the time. This was not mentioned on Booking.com Very disappointing. Poor and expensive restaurant menu. No EV charging.
