Manor House Hotel

A pleasant stay in attractive...

Liked: A beautiful building in a quiet setting.The room was comfortable with everything we needed.A good choice of beverages and nice toiletries were provided.
Disliked: A slightly bigger room with a fan would have been ideal in the hot weather we experienced.It looked in need of some renovation in places and would benefit from some TLC to create a better impression.

An enjoyable overnight stay in...

Liked: The Manor House hotel is a beautiful, old, well maintained building which has been lovingly redecorated. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating and upgraded us to be closer to our family staying in the family room. The rooms were large, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was good with a choice of items. We also had dinner which was excellent in the lovely dining room. We will definitely return for a longer stay.
Disliked: At breakfast, the young waiter was overheard muttering a slightly rude remark about one of our family members who was taking some time to decide what to have. Also we could hear their conversations in the kitchen which was not very professional.

Liked: Beautiful rooms, nice swimming pool; good breakfast (except that "speciality coffees" like Americano had extra charge)
Disliked: The hotel was understaffed, with receptionist doubling as bar manager so the bar left unattended for long stretches; one of our meals (the vegetarian tarte tatin) was dry; worst still, I contracted a nasty and very painful rash from the spa pool.

Great location, great hotel for...

Liked: The staff were great, special mention to Dianne, Andrew and Riley, plus the ladies who cleaned our room up every day, the Spa was also a special treat for us.
Disliked: Sadly there were some repair work that needed to be done at a very early time during our stay right beneath our room,,, to be fair we approached the reception who quickly solved the issue to give us a chance of a decent night's sleep,,,,,, in addition, some guests thought having a loud full scale conversation/argument in the garden outside our room was appropriate,,, hopefully the hotel will impose a stricter nighttime regime for the benefit of sleeping guests in the future. On this matter, the staff were very helpful and sympathetic.
