A great place to stay. Clean; friendly and it has a 30's style which is fun.

Liked: Clean; friendly; great modern bathrooms for such an old hotel.
Disliked: Smelly in hallway. I think one of those fake smell things was plugged into the wall. I prefer fresh air.

Would happily stay again

Liked: We found the location handy, for walking and public transport. Very generous sized room for our six night stay. Breakfast every morning, and although there was not a large range of options it provided everything I would normally have for breakfast.
Disliked: No fridge or tea/coffee supplies in room.

A memorable stay!

Liked: The staff were exceptionally nice and welcoming, both at the reception and in the restaurants. What stood out the most was the hotel’s unique charm — the decor and overall vibe made me feel like I had stepped back in time, in the best way possible. It beautifully captured the spirit of the old days while still offering modern comfort.
Disliked: Just a note for future guests: there’s no elevator, so it might be something to consider if you’re traveling with heavy luggage or have mobility concerns. Otherwise, it was a memorable and enjoyable stay! The reception staff helped us in handling our luggage

Highly recommended

Liked: Everything. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even prepared a breakfast box to take with us when we had to leave early on a coach tour. Room was large, clean and comfortable. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in staying there again should we visit Montreal again.
Disliked: There was nothing not to like

Exceptional

Liked: Staff were very friendly and supportive. The hotel was originally three separate buildings that were combined as a hotel at a later time. The interior design is stunning.
