Great location, comfortable, affordable, friendly...

Liked: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect and close to restaurants, shops, parks, and promenade!
Disliked: Nothing. Everything was great!

The dated funky decor makes...

Liked: A funky old-fashioned hotel has a brilliant location across from a park and a block from Chateau Frontenac, the Dufferin Terrace and the ramparts overlooking the Citadel. A genuine bargain in a city with few bargains to be had. Spacious, clean, well maintained. You can walk everywhere.
Disliked: It would have been helpful to know that several streets, including a portion of Genevieve, had been turned into pedestrian only to save the sanity of residents who live in the busy tourist core. We parked the car on a street several blocks and walked. The hotel was then helpful finding an alternate parking spot that avoided the worst traffic jam into the old city.

Disliked: Need non slip coating in baths. Makes it hard for reduced mobility persons to get in and out of bath

Great location, not so great...

Liked: The location was fantastic - right next to the Hotel Frontenac. We even had a view out our window.
Disliked: We were greeted by a man who didn't smile and was abrupt when I asked him a question about the room. He didn't offer to help us (two women) with our bags and rudely said, "Don't you want your room key?" when I picked up all my luggage to haul it up two flights of stairs.

It worked perfectly for me.

Liked: Location is great, close to everything you come to old Quebec City for.
Disliked: There was nothing I didn’t like because I’m ok with no night staff on the property .

Great Location

Liked: Location! Next to Chateau Frontenac, many tourist sites in the Upper Town, Plains of Abraham and the Citadel.
Disliked: Very tight space. Luckily I could push the bed against the wall to give me more space. I paid more money, but my sister was given a much nicer room. Nicer furnishings, more updated and more room. That was a bit confusing.
