Superb

Liked: Very friendly welcoming staff. Nice breakfast, comfortable room. All in all a most enjoyable stay.
Disliked: Everything was fine. I think the surroundings are lovely but could do with a gardener on site to maintain the flowerbeds, et cetera. But it didn’t attract from the overall enjoyment of our brief stay

Liked: Ideally situated for our visit with easy access to the outer ring road. Friendly welcoming helpful host. Lovely old property and furniture. Very clean and comfortable bed.
Disliked: A little ‘tired’ in places

Great location but requires attention.

Liked: Location was great for our needs and very quiet at night. Bed was super comfy too.
Disliked: Although we understand it is an historic building, a lot of the furnishings are very tired and need attention. Dining chair that is unsafe to sit on, cobwebs and spiders that have been in place a while, cushions that need a clean. Curtain poles could do with replacing to help closing of curtains. Cold water pressure appears to be a problem throughout the hotel and toilets are difficult to flush.

Adequate for short stay

Liked: Staff very friendly. Good location for our needs. Breakfast was nice enough. Lovely quaint building with lots of character
Disliked: We were in an attic room and there was very poor water pressure in the toilet. Once used we had to wait a long time to flush, and often needed to repeat the process. The TV only had 2 available channels. Nobody seemed able to address these problems. The biggest issue was that our room was the fire exit. Should a fire have broken out we were expected to open our door for access to the fire escape. That's presuming we were in the room and not asleep. Maybe this particular room.should be kept vacant?

Lovely for an overnight stop...

Liked: The hotel is very quaint and was tranquil. It has good parking a good breakfast and was close to Norwich. Perfect for one nights stay
Disliked: The sun woke me up as we stayed in summer. The room could benefit from blackout curtains and firmer mattresses

Disliked: The room in which we stayed requires total refurbishment, likewise the shower room . We chose a room with single beds hoping for a restful nights sleep . We didn't achieve this due to the bed mattress which was soft and springy offering no support !!
