Booked dog-friendly room, accused of...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: Booking.com confirmation clearly stated pets allowed in our room with £25 surcharge. Arrived with dog in full view of staff. Was later told dogs not allowed in our room, accused of “sneaking in” the dog, and treated with hostility. Manager escalated the issue and ordered my pregnant wife, toddler, and me to leave. Weekend ruined, utterly unacceptable.

Friendly and hospitable staff who...

Liked: Room was airy and met basic needs. Breakfast was well presented with good choice and friendly staff. Location near town suited our needs. Made my daughter feel special as we celebrated her graduation.
Disliked: Would have preferred a room with walk in shower. Fridge not available in room which was disappointing considering the price paid. Room was for three but coffee/biscuits were only for two.

Perfect hotel for a Guildford...

Liked: The bed was comfortable and the Aircon a benefit. The breakfast was exceptional
Disliked: The bathroom shelf and toilet roll holder were both loose and therefore did not hold anything

Comfortable room but didn't like...

Liked: I asked for a quiet room which was just outside the hotel in a small block and it did just the job as I am a light sleeper. Room was very nice and worth spending an extra £20 to get the executive room. The Breakfast was very nice too but wasn't included in the price.
Disliked: The hotel bar was nice but had no atmosphere at all. They played very dull music on a Saturday evening. Had there been more of an atmosphere we would have stayed and had a couple of drinks rather than go into town. The preference was stay in the hotel as we had a long day but it was quite depressing in there. I also didn't like that you had to pay for parking and felt this should have been complimentary - £17 on top of the booking plus another £15 each for breakfast especially when I checked booking.com the day before and the room I had booked included breakfast.

Lovely quiet hotel a few...

Liked: Room was lovely. ground floor looking onto a garden of sorts, breakfast was a good choice and breakfast staff were lovely and helpful,, this was our 4th stay in this hotel

Goodwood Weekend Stay

Liked: Location and breakfast
Disliked: Parking - rear carpark is ridiculously tight for a large SUVNo lift Had to climb steep stairs to first floor then along a corridor and back down similar steps to the ground floor at the opposite end of the hotel.The bathroom was not even small it was absolutely tiny and would certainly be no good if you were a big bigger than average.No room or bar service food after 9pm
