Great hotel location, an island...

Liked: Stellar location in Columbus Circle right at the corner of Central Park with excellent views from both the rooms and the breakfast/dining lounge. Excellent service from the entire staff who are very knowledgable and full of little attentions for guests. Rooms are well-equipped, comfortable and a decent size for Manhattan property; in addition, the location of the hotel in the upper floors of the tower make one's stay very calm and quiet, allowing for decent sleep whilst being located in the center of the action. F&B also deserves two thumbs up as their new French chef is very talented, breakfast to dinner has been of excellent quality. Finally the therapists at the spa were are very good. Would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: The spa & gym facilities were relatively dated, and most of the spa facilities (e.g. hammam, saunas, etc.) are not accessible to hotel guests unless one books a treatment for an extra charge - not normal and misleading vs what is advertised on the website/Booking.com. Only the gym and an indoor pool that gets very stuffy/greenhouse during summer; also that pool needs to be restricted to adults-only, one kid around and the pool becomes a total mess with water splashes everywhere.This property is also missing a proper restaurant to give to its excellent chef more "room to play".

Liked: The staff, in general, were very welcoming and helpful, with a special mention to Miles Gomez. He stood out for his exceptional hospitality and assistance. As someone who travels frequently, I can confidently say that Miles is one of the best front desk staff I have ever encountered.
