Great short stay in Bordeaux

Liked: Very stylish hotel in a great location in the old town. Large comfortable bed. Fab view of the old theatre from the room. Great roof top bar, not too expensive.
Disliked: Room very design-led and stylish but missing some items you might expect (e.g., no hot drinks)

Fun and trendy stay

Liked: A lovely stay - we got a free upgrade to a medium room, they wrote happy birthday on the mirror and the room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfy. The staff were friendly and we really enjoyed having a drink on the rooftop bar. Location was great walking distance from the centre.
Disliked: There was a bottle of water in the fridge which I thought was free but they charged about 4 euros for it. There should have been a sign to say that this bottle cost money. Also, the area outside of the hotel smells and there quite a lot of homeless people.

dissappinted and let down by...

Liked: it was out 4th stay, it’s a great location, lovely rooms
Disliked: I’d taken my wife to Bordeaux for the night for birthday treat, part of the reason we stay at MS is the cocktail bar . do , cocktails and meal. on arrival we were told by reception that the roof terrace , bar and restaraunt were all closed for the night for a private function but they could recommend other places if we wanted a drink , we had no prior notice of this this was also 220 euros which seemed poor value now for one night b&b with no facility’s . the event meant that there were what felt like over a hundred guests attending so getting a lift from/ to 4th floor was difficult as they were using for roof terrace and it was carnage in reception when we were going out in evening, plus large groups smoking outside when we were leaving for eveningI complained in the morning about the lack of prior notice and was given a 20 euro refund the staff were great, but the attitude of the Mama group in that the event was more important than paying guests and the poor response to complaint means we won’t be going back for 5th time

Disliked: Price a bit high but competitors look as pricy with less quality.
