Malmaison Surprise

Liked: We liked everything .. especially the wonderful staff..we're in awe of your main cocktail maker in the rooftop bar..so entertaining and skillful..breakfast manager Amar was so obliging and helpful with our need of an early breakfast..all of your staff were so personable.
Disliked: Very petty - We would have liked a room fridge.

Great stay in sunny York

Liked: Great location and a lovely rooftop cocktail bar plus bedding, pillows and beds were super comfy!
Disliked: Rooms very dark at times hard to see when getting ready.The roof bar is closed Monday and Tuesday’s luckily we went Sunday but feel I would have been extra disappointed if this was the case had I booked on those days and think it should always be open always esp for hotel guests as this was a selling point for choosing this hotel.

Great location, lovely staff but...

Liked: Great location.
Disliked: Pricey, shower needed de-scaling. Lack of pillows. Had to ask for more milk but that’s the norm in most hotels these days. Overkill with the seating in the room. Good bathroom products. What’s with the towels left in the wardrobe and not the bathroom?? And I think when you pay nearly £400 for a room, having to get your own tea or coffee at breakfast is a joke!
