This unique residence is a modern reworking of the Great Western Hotel built in 1844 and reputed to be the oldest surviving railway hotel in the world. The hotel is conveniently located in the city center providing easy access to all that the city has to offer yet it has kept the original ambiance of the historic building. Disappointed

Liked: Very comfortable bed
Disliked: Noise given location on Main Street. Staff gave incorrect information on check-in

Decent for a night or...

Liked: Room was comfortable, location is awesome if you're traveling by train. Plus lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful, let me keep my bags there after checkout. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Cleanliness could use some work. Carpet was stained and felt coated, bathroom walls and floor were imperfectly clean, and drains were rusty/grimy. Restaurant was closed after breakfast, leaving no lounge to sit in during the day (caveat: it was a holiday)
