Disliked: The room was uncomfortable because of small windows and ac that doesn't really work

A perfect way to experience...

Liked: The hotel is lovely, quite quirky and interesting. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was great, and the bar staff made great negronis!
Disliked: The shower was very splashy, mainly because it was over a bath and the shower screen was not long enough. Next time I will ask for a room with a walk-in shower.

Great location and service, striking...

Liked: The location was fantastic and the staff superb.
Disliked: The rooms were a little tired and in need of refurbishment. There was no water pressure, the toilet in one of our rooms was blocked, there was no hot water either in that same room. Both rooms were incredibly hot with no air conditioning or ventilation of any kind. We had to ask for fans to be delivered from reception. This made it better but it was still very uncomfortable. Overall it’s not what you would have expected from a hotel of this quality. It was hugely disappointing.

A great hotel but stay...

Liked: Its location, charm, staff, service, food and good parking
Disliked: We were given a supposed upgrade having being offered a paid upgrade to a junior suite which proved unavailable- the room given had no aircon leading to a warm uncomfortable and sleepless night. We were awoken by the shower beginning to drip in the morning.
