On the banks of the River Tyne tucked away in Newcastle's vibrant Quayside this stunning 4-star boutique hotel offers stylish rooms superb views a gym and free WiFi throughout. The Malmaison Newcastle is housed in a beautifully converted river-front warehouse just yards from the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Decorated in deep purples and plush velvets it has a dramatic eye-catching modern style. Many of the boutique-style rooms have fantastic views of the River Tyne. Each has mood lighting and a satellite flat-screen Freeview TV. The private bathrooms have power showers and luxury toiletries. With breathtaking views of the river the bar offers fine wines and fabulous cocktails while the brasserie serves delicious cuisine made with fresh local ingredients. Just to let you know over the next few weeks we are having some external decorating work done to the building to keep us looking fine on the Tyne.

The stay was very pleasant...

Liked: Beautiful old building, large room, comfortable bath, accommodating staff at breakfast.
Disliked: Thin walls, the neighbours were rather noisy at 3am - you can likely imagine what I refer to. For the price, the decor is rather dated.I have allergies and was disappointed that I could not buy al la carte breakfast but was still expected to pay 18 pounds for very few food options.
