A lovely and comfortable hotel...

Liked: Great location to the town centre and start of Great North Run (reason for our trip). Bed was very comfortable in a spacious modern room and all staff very friendly and attentive. The advise from the hotel about local car parks was also great.
Disliked: Only thing I didn’t like was related to the run; the pasta party. Think this could have been far better organised with more options available for the money. That said the convenience was what we after so grateful something was put on!

I wouldn't recommend it

Liked: Shower hose damaged we couldn't use it. The room designed foe disabled which not been clarified .hard to find space in car park nearby .waiting long for reception guy to check in as the hotel busy and very limited people working in the reception.
Disliked: Nothing

A very friendly accommodating stay...

Liked: Staff and hotel logistics went out of their way - the extra mile and a half to accommodate all the GNRunners throughout the day and afterwards smiling throughout. All reception staff were great can only remember Jimis name though.
Disliked: Having to leave
