Maldron Hotel Belfast City

You are definitely paying for the location. The room is very cramped and basic. The toilet had a fault and water ran all night. Bathroom looked like a dog had been locked in there and chewed the skirting/door. Air con spluttering out dust. Disappointed at £144 for one night.

Liked: Cental location; everything close by.
Disliked: Overpriced.

Liked: Great location, central to everything for a city break. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.We requested a quiet room at a higher level and that's exactly what we got. It was perfect, we could still hear some noise at night (Friday & Saturday) but that was becase we decided to open the windows rather than use the aircon. It's a very lively area with lots of bars around so some noise is to be expected. Sunday night was a lot quieter. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: Pillows are a little hard. A minor point but the constant emails from hotel advising me of the "online" check in facility in the run up to our visit and then on the day of departure again a couple of emails advising of the "Check out online" facility. Not everyone embraces cyber world and some people still like to engage with real people. It's a personal thing and one email each side of the visit would sufice.

Liked: Location is excellent for walking to most places (if you don’t mind a bit of a walk). Staff in the bar were particularly friendly and helpful.
Disliked: What sounded like drilling at 6.30am on two mornings was not an ideal start to the day.

Liked: Room was great and met our expectations, it was very clean and comfy. Food at the hotel restaurant was gorgeous and breakfast was very good as well. Staff was amazing and so kind. Location was easy to get to from train station and was short distance away from sightseeing.

Disliked: They switch off air conditioning during the night, to put coffee pods we need to tell them, we have 2 personal glasses they took them away and we have to tell them to bring them back for us, as an executive room i pretend a much better room
