Lovely hotel lovely location and...

Liked: Very nice location and very nice hotel and staff
Disliked: The heating was off all night it was freezing the radiators didn’t come on again until 8am went off at 10pm, there were no extra blankets, the bed was really uncomfortable and the pillows were flat, I went to reception at 1am to ask them to turn the heat on and more blankets, the night guard said he would ask his manager and never returned

Disliked: Poor room decor state / poor bathroom equipment / zero heating on either bathroom or bedroom. Albeit I was told after check,in that general renovations are underway, this information would have been more palatable if declared in advance.

Liked: We stayed in a suite and it was extremely comfortable, everything recently refurbished. Didn't stay for breakfast and dinner, but on a separate occasion we did and found it to be very tasty and perfectly served.
Disliked: More hangers, and it was a shame the refurb didn't extend to the beautiful stairs and landing.

A lovely country stay.

Liked: The room was lovely and the bed was super comfy. The bath was deep so perfect for a long soak. Staff were so lovely and accommodating. The food was really lovely with very generous portions. Service was fab and the dining room very lovely. I would recommend anyone to stay there.
Disliked: The room was a little too hot. It is tricky time of year with temperatures being up and down so I recognise it can be difficult to get the right temp for everyone. It’s not something that bothered me too much and wouldn’t stop me staying again.
