Comfortable, cosy stay.

Liked: Lovely location, clean. Really nice old building. Staff helpful. We had a lovely spacious room.
Disliked: Bathroom could do with a refresh.

Lovely situation but ask for...

Liked: Great location and gardens are beautiful. Well situated for access to the Peak District.
Disliked: Definitely in need of an upgrade, we have stayed there in the past and the decor hasn’t been updated for many years now, looking tired and a bit grubby in the bedrooms. Kitchen wasn’t open for Easter Sunday evening meal and we didn’t book breakfast so can’t comment on the food. Staff were really helpful and welcoming though.

Peaceful location, ambience and great...

Disliked: Halted here on a solo trip, stayed 3 nights. Enjoyed my stay, beautiful walks around, baby bunnies, birds and scenery. I was lucky to hear owls hooting away at night fall. Special thanks to the housekeeping lady, she was so lovely, cleaned the room every single day, topped up lovely biscuits and supplies.
