Tucked away with old Chicago charm, this place is a jewel. Several concert-goes were also here so it was fun discussing the show afterwards. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Liked: Old World atmosphere.
Disliked: Room got a little warm with radiator heat!

Great hotel nice location!

Great location, cute enough, but...

Liked: Great location, cute enough inside, but the room was indeed as small as the reviews say.. walls and flooring kind of dingy, but it didn’t feel “dirty”, just old and in need of a little TLC.
Disliked: Not really any amenities besides a lobby space, so it felt like the price was really only justifiable because of the location. Otherwise it felt like any old motel.

Liked: It is a quaint historic hotel with an instaworthy lobby serving decent coffee and popcorn. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly no matter the time you arrive. The in-room amenities were thoughtful and not over-priced.
Disliked: The rooms and hallway smelled like bad pine air freshener was spilled when I arrived. The window unit air conditioner turned down to 66 was not enough to keep the absolutley tiny room comfortable on a cool June night with the ceiling fan on high.
