Charming owner but the rooms...

Liked: Very central position. Nice selection in the bathroom, more than most hotels, e.g. make-up remover. The owner gave us an excellent suggestion for dinner. There are interesting old objects and photos in the lobby. It was very clean and with a good shower.
Disliked: The bedroom was very orange including swirly carpet; blanket and orange bedspread whereas I prefer a white duvet as in most hotels; (my sister's was all pink) rather faded towels and period sanitary ware, 1930s-50s furniture; the lobby area seems to be used by the owner for entertaining so nowhere to wait for the rest of our party. If you pre-book parking, you get a swipe card for entry to a public car park which is a walk away.

Disliked: It was a disappointment when the owner phoned us that she was not able to welcome us. We were later then expected and she coud not welcome us. That was something that took me by surprise.
