Will never stay again or...

Liked: Air conditioner worked.
Disliked: Took over 1 hour to check in, hotel did not have any key cards available. Elevator was broken so had to take 4 flights of stairs to room. Stairwell was very dirty and people had been smoking in it with cigarette butts and dirty clothes in the corner of bottom floor. The television did not work. The parking lot was full of people loitering, smoking and drinking.

Liked: I checked out after 3 hours and they said you would give my money back.The highlight was leaving.
Disliked: I made this reservation months ago for the wrong date. I kept trying to change the date by phone. I called several times and the hotel would not answer the phone. I did finally get through to be told I'd have to do this on booking.com. I do not believe this is true or at least I couldn't do so. I arrived and was told the elevator was broken. I have a bad knee and hip and asked for something on the lower floor. They had nothing. The room still had the old key on the night stand which made me think it was not cleaned very well. The sink plunger would not come up so I did not shave because the water was only warm but the sink was full of cold water and ready to overflow. The shower was ok. I left and my sister who I was visiting found out about the elevator and demanded I check out which I was ok with but then put her out. She was told by the front desk manager that I'd be reimbursed by booking.com. I went down the other stairwell after getting my stuff (424 my room on the 4th floor). Both stairwells were equally dirty which I forgot to mention but also found out taking this route that the pool was shut down. It is a big hotel in need of repair that I'd never go to again.

Will not use this motel...

Disliked: I made this reservation for an official at the IL State Fair. She said the motel was sketchy. Not someplace she would want to stay at again. I did not have time to ask her to elaborate.

It sucked!

Liked: The only thing that I didn't mind was the bed.
Disliked: Front desk, services. Not even able to watch TV in our room with the cable bring down. Was only given 30 minutes to let front desk know if room was unsuitable. Alot more.

It was very disappointing stay...

Liked: The location right off the interstate
Disliked: When I arrived Front Desk said could not accommodate me because Booking.com overbooks. Said did not have room overbooked. I was very upset said you realized the hotel was over booked should have another hotel for me. Said in the area no available rooms. I called then Booking,com did verify my reservations said transferred to an Agent. Never pick up on HOLD called back again transferred me again again Booking,com Agent did not pick up, I asked front desk where General Manager was said was out however did call him. Finally said will have room there however to pay $10 more. I said need to honor rate that was booked thru Booking,com. Front desk person after talking with GM again said will honor rate, Also did informed me that elevator is not working been out for several weeks. I had to go up 4 flights of stairs to the room. There Fitness room only equipment working was working not clean the attendant said guests do not use. I said Main Stay Hotel it is requirement to have Fitness room for the guests

Liked: Relatively cheap
Disliked: Scammed for $165.04 by staff DO NOT GO AS TOURIST.Arrived after having already prepaid for the room through booking.com. Provided my booking details as were on the website. Asked for ID and debit card for deposit - all ok.He then realised i was not from town then requested my visa. Provided this by email, he then charged me $10 **cash in hand** to print it out. (which he quickly put in his pocket)But it only got worse. After arriving in my room I realised they had charged me an additional $155.04 for the room without consent or approval. Called booking.com and they asked me to talk to the front desk.Deliberately unhelpful at the front desk and claimed the transaction was only pending and would go away. It didn’t and i asked again for assistance refund but instead they just referred me back to booking.com.Room was pushing two-stars certainly wasn’t three. Drinking glass in sink, “washed” glass had brown residue, old paper manual next to bed, cockroach trap in middle of floor and room was tired.Working with booking.com to get a refundDO NOT RECOMMEND - go to best western instead; it’s worth it!

A horror

Liked: No breakfast it was absolutely terrible room and disgusting no ac exposed wires dirty sheets bugs and shit stains on the towels
Disliked: Worst experience ever absolutely disgusting place

It was a satisfactory place...

Liked: The room was clean. The bed and pillows were fine, and the TV with lots of station choices worked well. The ice machine was close by and worked fine.
Disliked: There was no breakfast provided, and no chair in the room. There was considerable noise in the hallway until about 10 pm.The pool was closed, and the elevators are out of service.

I was there to see...

Liked: The location and they did get us a 1st floor room.
Disliked: Everything could have been better. In the room: The TV didn't work, the telephone didn't work, the floors was dirty. There wasn't a breakfast, the pool wasn't working, the elevators didn't work. I would never stay at this motel again!!
