MainStay Suites Rochester South Mayo Clinic, Rochester

Liked: The price was great and location not to bad
Disliked: Microwave was not cleaned, refrigerator was rusty and dirty, bed was not very comfortable

Liked: Very nice staff and room was clean.
Disliked: Smelled like strong cigarettes

Overcharged not thrilled

Liked: The bed was nice the room wasn't bad for what they charge
Disliked: When checking in I was told that there was no maid service. And I seen that the price was $20 cheaper than what it was I'm booking.com per night. TV barely worked and I never received any new towels or anything. It was worth maybe the price they were charging but not the price you were charging.

Liked: Quiet, kitchen area, dishes, nice pillows, temperature was easy to adjust
Disliked: Fan running with light on in bathroom, not enough electric outlets, no extra blanket for covering up in bed in cooler temps, should've had coffee available later than 10 a.m. if people checkout at 11:00, have something small for a breakfast eat n run

Liked: The price of this hotel was great for the quality of the room. It was spacious, clean and updated.
Disliked: The TV was small for the distance from the bed and the shower curtain was too short which made it a bit difficult to keep the water from getting on the floor.

Very poor

Disliked: Our room was freezing cold because there was a huge gap under the heating unit letting all the cold air in. Staff was very standoffish and sort of rude about letting us get a room while our furnace was out house was out. And there was a windchill warning out. Temperatures in the -20 & -30's real feel. All because we live in town.

Liked: The staff was friendly and rooms where clean.
Disliked: Needed ice machine but they where in process of putting one in.no breakfast.

Never stay in Rochester Mainstay...

Liked: I had a corner room with window on 2 walls
Disliked: 1. Parking lot was slick, wasn't properly salted. I slipped with feet in the air. I saw a shuttle operator clung to his shuttle door to save himself from falling.2. Parking lot was almost empty as if no guests were living, I know why because there were none. I would not live there again. It was an Econolodge marked as Mainstay Suites. 3. Everything was super old, I was hesitant to even touch let alone using it. No frill items inside.4. Toiletries the worst I had ever seen.List will go on and on. I short I regret my stay there and will never try Mainstay Suite again.
