MainStay Suites Raleigh - Cary

I had reserved non-smoking and all they had was smoking. Room smelled really bad. Also, the ice maker in the fridge did not work. Wasn't impressed - felt sick for the whole stay because of smell.

Liked: Internet.
Disliked: Room smelled bad. No ice available.

Great place to stay for...

Liked: I enjoyed most everything about Mainstay. The breakfast was amazing, so many options to choose from.They serve coffee all day and night! The room was clean and comfortable and plenty of space. The staff were extremely nice and helpful! I will be staying there again sometime.
Disliked: I don't think there was anything I didn't like.

THIS HOTEL IS FALSE ADVERTISING

Liked: The colors on the walls, the decor.
Disliked: I dislike the way my family and I were treated after voicing our opinion on not having a working air conditioner, a non-working refrigerator, a water leak in our room, and a dishwasher that smelled like a sewer! We complained of these issues and how my hus and had to continuously clean up the water, and clean out the dishwasher, along with staying a week in a HOT room, which they let us sit in and didn't change until they moved us into a new room where we experienced all the refrigerator and water leak issues, leaving us with spoiled rotten food because it didnt work! Instead of an apology, or some sort of credit, we were told we could leave if we didn't like it! So we did! And are seeking every dime back! Nothing else works in the hotel either.... not the gym, the light in the gym room, and some of the equipment in the laundry area didn't work either. They also advertise breakfast but it's a lie! They only serve coffee and have the nerve to put up a sign stating "one cup per customer" that place is a rip-off. Also, the customer service sucks! Besides the Puerto Rican female manager, everyone else has issues...and is very unprofessional. Especially the male manager... the big & tall guy... we explained our situation to him and asked for credit so that we wouldn't have to dispute anything, but his queen a$$ went and told them that we said we were going to dispute charges instead of advocating for us, he made matters worse. I would not have disputed a thing if we were treated with respect and dignity and given some sort of credit for the inconvenience we experienced after paying $700 for a week's stay., So thank him for lying on us when you have to pay us back our money!

This place was so filthy...

Disliked: This place was filthy. I had to scrub the dirt out of the tub which proves that the room was not cleaned before I arrived.The sheets were filled with hair. This place was a disaster.

Perfect for what we wanted.

Liked: it was very close to where we wanted to be, campus of NC State
