Not worth the premium price...
Liked: Good location, beautiful view and comfortable bed
Disliked: Restaurant and room service were closed without prior notice, bath tub was leaking and breakfast was chaotic: dirty tables, no cutlery, buffet half empty

Very good
Liked: Spacious and chic room, very comfy bed, amazing view, and friendly staff
Disliked: bath tub leaked, floor lamp did not work, shaving mirror was loose and we had to fix it to be able to use it, only one arm chair for two people, smoke smell on the floor, pool was not accessible and this was not indicated prior to booking the room, no milk-replacements for breakfast

I will not stay there...

Disliked: I've stayed at this hotel almost every year, and it's always been very good. This year, the hotel is undergoing renovations. While we received a notice about it a few days in advance, it was impossible to understand from it how much these renovations would disrupt the hotel's operations and detract from guests' enjoyment.The service at the reception was appalling. Due to a regional internet outage, the systems were not working. I received a room key that didn't work. For two days, to get into my room, I had to go to the reception, and a staff member would walk with me to my room and open the door. This was also the case for other guests at the hotel. Instead of increasing staff to accompany all guests who needed it and open their rooms, I had to wait until the staff member who was assisting one guest returned before I could go to our room with them. The breakfast was not good, and workers engaged in renovations were moving around the dining area. I will not return to this hotel again.It was wrong to continue operating the hotel and hosting guests during such extensive renovations. The impression it left on me and on other guests I met who were staying there with me was extremely negative. Everyone's decision is not to return to this hotel again, even though we've stayed there many times in the past.

Mishap at Mainport
Liked: The Mainport is conveniently located next to the MetroBuffet breakfast was good
Disliked: That Mainport is doing major renovation to the public area at such an important time of the year is shocking! When did this work start?! Surely they knew North Sea Jazz is the same time every year! Makes no sense; so the Lobby and downstairs Bar and Lounge areas were not available. Every year, we look forward to hanging out and partying in the Lounge after the concerts. It was not available and that was very unfortunate. Check in was chaotic; long lines etc so the lobby area at the adjoining Doubletree Hilton was unbelievably crowded. They did try to do a mixer in Water, the restaurant next door, but it just didn't work. At a minimum, the guests should have been notified of this Major Inconvenience and then have a choice to stay elsewhere even though rooms would have been difficult to find. I'm very disappointed!
