Magnuson Grand Harrisburg

We stayed for a concert at Club XL; when we arrived we got right to our room. Room was clean and smelled like it had just been cleaned and sanitized. We had dinner at Boomerangs - great wait staff and prices and food was excellent. In the morning we checked out, and since it was my birthday the man at the front desk wished me a happy birthday. Then, what happened next, I wasn't expecting. He gave me and my wife 2 complimentary tickets to a future comedy show in the Fall! We will definitely be back to stay again.

Liked: Great location, 3 miles from downtown Harrisburg. Very clean room, and front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The hotel room I booked was completely different from what had been advertised and promised. The photos and descriptions led me to believe we would be staying in a clean, modern, and spacious room, but instead, we were met with a small, outdated, and poorly maintained space. To make matters worse, when I tried to contact customer service to address these issues, no one answered my calls, leaving me feeling frustrated and ignored. I was extremely unhappy with both the condition of the room and the lack of support from the hotel staff.

Disliked: Drunk patrons being loud walking from the bar to the outside area to smoke, loud bass from the club heard through the walls. Weekends they close late. Not able to sleep for work.

Nice amenity’s and clean

Liked: This place compared to the other options in the area for the price is awesome. It’s clean and nobody lives here from what I can tell. There is a hotel next door that’s really rough but this one is worth the money. The comedy club is really cool and there’s a full bar. I’m here on work so it’s nice to have a resort style atmosphere that’s clean to come home to.
Disliked: The hotel next door and the woman with the dog that lunged at me.
