Mary, Norfolk, visiting Orpheum Theater Omaha Sun, 24 December 2017

Disgusting! Black in bed and shower. When I told the front desk they apologized but nothing else was done. A discount for the room would've been nice!

Disliked: Black gnats in bed and shower.

John, Norfolk, visiting Orpheum Theater Omaha Mon, 14 April 2014

We had tickets to the Orpheum presentation of The War Horse. Enjoyed being so close to The Old Market. We shall return!

Liked: Loved the atmosphere, both inside and outside The Magnolia. Love, love seeing people coming and going and had "ownership" of their stay. Breakfast was fantastic! Staff was great!
Disliked: The beds were listed as queen sized but was only double bed. We have queen sized at home so knew this wasn't correct. It's hard to please everyone but the mattress was so soft we kind of "gravitated" to the middle.

Stay here,,just allow a little...

Liked: Almost everything...very friendly and attentive staff...clean and well maintained...excellent location...the bar / restaurant was very impressive
Disliked: The shower was a joke ....no pressure at all.....no ice available unless you went all the way down to the bar / restaurant and bothered the staff for it ....

Good

Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: No maid service, had to ask for more towels. They asked if I would like to grab some and take them back to my room. I was on my way out for the evening, I expected that I would have had my room taken care of earlier in the day. This is a nice hotel except more.

Enjoyed my stay

Liked: 1) The building was beautiful and very unique. I love the intricacies of the architecture. Every part of the physical building was interesting to study. 2) The courtyard with the lights was beautiful. We weren't directly over it but could see it well from our window and it was very pretty. We enjoyed looking out the window through the rain at that courtyard. 3) All of the staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant and polite. 4) The woodwork in the hallways, especially the doors, was very charming. I don't normally even notice that in a hotel but the doors and casings were very eye catching. 5) The decor of the room was very enjoyable. Tasteful furniture, plenty of space and plenty of seating options. "This is very nice" was my first impression walking into the room for the first time. 6) The lighting was easy to manipulate and to customize to individual comfort. As a person who is a bit light sensitive, I appreciated the easy ability to set the light to a comfortable level.
Disliked: 1) The ventilation system was very loud. It sounded as if I was sleeping in the room next to a laundry room with a dryer running in it all night. That's hard to fix in a building of this age and historical status. 2) The door handles on the sliding bathroom doors were not built to be used to grab from both directions. They were easy to close but difficult to open. I should have to concentrate to get a bathroom door open. That's an easy fix. 3) The pillows were not very supportive at all. If you are going to provide two pillows to each sleeper, consider making them of different support levels. One for those who prefer softer pillows and the other for those who prefer a firmer pillow. That's an easy fix.4) The drinks in the bar were overpriced. I get that it's a hotel bar but that was unreasonable.
