We got engaged! It was the most perfect hotel to get engaged in - we know it will be there for 100 years and we can come back for our anniversary every year. The room was quiet, much larger than we expected - although it was older it had been updated nicely and we had a great time. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was a nice touch. However, we weren't there for the milk and cookies it sounded very nice!

Liked: The room was beautiful and much more than we expected.
Disliked: Could have used a few special extras in the room i.e. popcorn or silverware.

Exceptional

Liked: Very clean hotel and very friendly staff. The hotel has a shuttle service that will take you to locations within 1.5 miles.
Disliked: Very close to the mall shuttles so a bit noisy.

Pleasant

Disliked: The walls were very thin and I could hear everything from the room next door

Passable

Disliked: The air conditioner was rather noisy. The restaurant service was pretty bad. I waited seated for ten minutes and didn?t even get a menu. The house keeping was slow. It took even late like 6pm.

Good place to stay for...

Liked: Good location for our stay in Denver. Nice staff.
Disliked: The rooms seemed a little "tired". Hall noise was somewhat bothersome and the street noise was noticeable (I had stayed here before at a room that faced into the central courtyard, and it was noticeably quieter).

Good

Liked: Nice bed and bathroom
Disliked: No smart tv, $28 for parking is steep especially for locals that are wanting a staycation and drive their cars to the facility. You should lower the room rate to compensate. Also walls seemed thin as I could hear the people staying in rooms around us .

Meh

Liked: The staff was very professional and accommodating and helpful.
Disliked: It?s tired. The room was very sterile. The bathroom needs to be renovated. Tub is right out of the eighties. Very awkward shape and not easy to get in and out of and in the ?20s a large shower is more practical and hygienic. The toilet seat was chipped around the rim which is also unhygienic and aesthetically icky. Every time the heat came on I thought I was in the path of a jet or in a motel room off the highway. The coffee machine was a sad little affair; reminded me of a cheap motel. The bottles of shampoo are good idea, but it would have been nice if they had all had pumps. The room was clean. The quilt cover on the bed was shabby and having no duvet cover over the quilt itself is unhygienic again. Not impressed by the ?portfolio? brand if the Magnolia is anything to go by. The bar downstairs was ok and what I would expect from a small city business hotel. Looking forward to my stay at the Westin at the airport. I?m a Bonvoy member so I guess I?ll get some point s out of this but I won?t be back. Really liked the staff though!
