Friendly staff, fabulous breakfast -...

Liked: Staff is superfriendly! We got an upgrade to a family room - our room was big and colourful. The bathroom with rainshower was superclean. Coffeemaker and hairdryer in the room as well as a big tv (we were out exploring so didn't use it). At breakfast we were spoiled for choice. So many options of both warm and cold food. It can get a bit crowded, so go early if you can. If ever we find ourselves in this area again, we'll come right back to this hotel.
Disliked: Something to be aware of: The family rooms don't have a window that can open - you look out onto the middle section of the hotel. I personally thought the pillows were wayyy too soft and I couldn't get comfortable, but that comes down to personal preference of course. Other than that I really can't fault this hotel! It's fab!

Great hotel and wonderful staff

Liked: Great hotel right in the city centre along the harbour of Bergen with beautiful views. Rooms are clean and large and had everything we needed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Less than a 5 minute walk to light rail to airport with departs about every 15 mins. Staff were very friendly and helpful from reception, to bar to restaurant. Breakfast has a great selection.
Disliked: Nothing

Great location, mixed experience

Liked: The hotel is in a great location for the harbour and local attractions. The room was spacious with a great view over the harbour. The bed was comfortable.Breakfast had a good selection of food. There was coffee available in the lobby for takeaway although it wasn't always topped up.
Disliked: The bar and restaurant were closed for two out of three nights of our stay. This was not communicated or signposted at any point before arriving or during our stay. We only discovered when we tried to go for dinner and a drink, even then we weren't advised they would be closed for two nights.The room was fairly basic with no amenities such as kettle, fridge or tissues. It was pretty dusty in the corners. Our room wasn't serviced on day one as housekeeping arrived after 4.30pm when we had already returned from a day out.Overall the staff seemed disinterested and it didn't have a welcoming feel.

Liked: Central and beautiful appointed rooms especially those over looking the harbour.
Disliked: Nothing - all good!

Excellent location, rooms very basic

Liked: Location excellent, clean, great breakfast.
Disliked: No air con in rooms, very hot even at night. Room very minimalist.

Great place to base yourself...

Liked: Breakfast was included, it's walkable to everything, is clean and has fun vibe. They also provided water and coffee in the lobby which was a nice touch.
Disliked: There was nothing negative. Parking is not on site so you will need to walk about 10 minutes to the garage but very doable even with back packs and a small rolling suitcase.
