Liked: Great location, great sized room and comfy bed. Bar/ restaurant downstairs was nice. Staff were helpful and freindly
Disliked: Found the shower shelf dirty with ? Last guests soap and shaver and hairs etc .Fan was broken in bathroom so hard to air/ dry out room.Great kitchenette with no utensils or cooking gear- not even a plate to eat off. Ended up eating out a lot but thought the option to cook at room was what we were getting.

Good value for a nice...

Liked: Lovely big room, good location (15 minutes walk to Queen Street and about half an hour to the top end of South Bank, good bus connections). I was worried it would be noisy but it wasn't. Communication with the hotel was very quick and easy. Cheap possibility to do laundry which I didn't use as I only stayed for the weekend, but great if you're staying for longer. Great choice for historical Brisbane.
Disliked: From Queen Street/Central Station it's up a pretty steep set of stairs - not great if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. I think there's a lift to Roma Station but I never found it! It has amenities like cotton buds etc but you need to collect them from the reception. As a single female traveller from Vienna (which is one of the safest cities in the world) I would have liked the way to the hotel to have been a little better lit after dark but I didn't feel unsafe, just a little heightened awareness. I would book it again, though!
