It wasn’t very pleasant stay...

Liked: The location was good and the room was clean.
Disliked: The first thing we notice when we entered the room was a very strong smell of talcum powder. It took us while to get used to the smell. The next day they had water maintenance and water cut then the night we didn’t have hot water. They promised the partial refund but all we wanted on the end of day was the nice hot shower especially out in sea.

Liked: The room we had was great. We had no hot water for a couple of hours on Saturday morning, but was told about this well beforehand.Hopefully any issues they had have been fixed now? The location was great, but you will have to do an uphill walk from the train or bus stations nearby. It is not a big distance, but be prepared for a steep walk up some steps or a ramp like walk. We had a couple of dinners at the pub by the reception area. They were really very nice.
Disliked: The housekeeping was a bit random. we did not get coffee pods for the machine every day, but did so when we asked for them. The soap dispenser in the shower did not get refilled, but the one at the bathroom sink was? It did not matter as I am sure requesting them would be no issue, it was just strange?

Bad service , nice accommodation.

Liked: Room layout was great, spacious and very comfy beds. Very small balcony.
Disliked: I was double charged for my accommodation, it was a mistake by reception after I just told them I had fully paid. They reversed payment but it left me out of pocket $211 for 3 days. I had come to Brisbane with friend for a girls weekend and was left with only $20 in my account. Put a very big damper on the weekend. I understand it was a mistake, it happens but the sad thing was , it was not enough acknowledged , an offer of a drink in the bar or breakfast or something would have been nice. I worked for many years in tourism and just a small gesture would have been nice and made my night better ( I ended up worrying about my $ situation all night) I doesn’t take much to make a bad situation for one person into a little bit brighter outcome.
