The Spotlight on Madison Manor Boutique Hotel

Victorian Charm in the Heart of Toronto's Music Scene

Nestled in a historic Victorian house in Toronto’s lively Annex district, Madison Manor Boutique Hotel blends old-world charm with easy access to the city’s best music venues. Just a 4-minute walk to Spadina subway station, this boutique hotel offers a cozy, character-filled stay with an unbeatable location for fans heading to a show.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re in the center of the action without sacrificing peace and quiet. The hotel is steps from public transit, making it easy to get to concerts across the city—including major venues like the Danforth Music Hall and Scotiabank Arena. After the show, retreat to a quieter, residential-feeling street. With check-in from 3:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM, there’s time to sleep in after a late night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to pair music with pub vibes
  • Solo travelers chasing a bucket-list performance
  • Couples wanting a romantic, music-filled weekend
  • Fans seeking a peaceful space to recharge post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who value charm over flash

Food and Drink Options

The attached Madison Avenue Pub is a major draw, with 11 bars and 192 beer taps right next door. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the pub offers hearty fare and drinks late into the night. Breakfast is available on-site, and the surrounding Annex neighborhood is packed with cafes and diners for those post-concert brunch cravings.

Nightlife Options

You don’t have to go far to keep the night going. The British-style Madison Avenue Pub offers live music vibes, billiards, dart boards, and multiple TVs for sports fans. Prefer something more low-key? The Annex is filled with intimate bars and lounges just a short walk away.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the hotel’s unique character, friendly staff, and prime location. Many love the vintage touches and the ability to walk to nightlife without needing a car. The pub atmosphere next door is a hit for those who want to socialize before or after a show.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers note that the hotel, being in a historic building, lacks modern amenities like elevators or air conditioning in some rooms. Sound can occasionally travel from the pub, so light sleepers may want to request a quieter room.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers wanting a fun, character-filled stay in a top Toronto location, Madison Manor Boutique Hotel hits the right note.

Clean room with a good...

Liked: The location is excellent, close to the University and very close to the Metro. The room was very clean, and the bed was excellent. Coffee was provided every day.
Disliked: There was no fridge in my room. The window was opening on a space used as a dumping floor between the hotel and the house of a fraternity. And the people using the dumping floor parked their car every night and made a lot of noise until midnight. In summary, the room I was in was not at all quiet at night.

Good

Liked: The location is excellent, offering easy access to everything we needed. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Disliked: We stayed in the semi-basement room, which wasn’t the most ideal experience. On some nights, there was noticeable noise from people outside the nearby pub, which affected the overall quietness.

The advertising suggested a boutique...

Liked: The location in relation to University of Toronto where I was at a conference.
Disliked: My room was in the basement with no light. The room had NO desk or chair to work at so I had to use my laptop on the bed. Nothing as advertised. Terrible room. Staff NOT helpful when I asked to be moved to another room.

Very good

Liked: Perfect location, super bouncy beds, it was cute like staying at your grandparents. Really clean too. Parking is cheap, the pub is awesome.
Disliked: We checked out around 9:30am, no front desk staff, so left and hoped they'll do it for us. Didn't like that room cards are left unattended when staff not present.
