Nice, convenient hotel, questionable surroundings.

Liked: Very close to subway and buses. We requested a fridge and they gave us one. Their dining room had a microwave, toasters, hot and cold drinking water, disposable dishes, ice... Their complementary breakfast was basic (toast, waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt, cereal, apples, oranges) but a nice freebie to have. Everything clean, considerate staff.
Disliked: The room was a bit crammed but I guess that's what's to expect in New York. High price but also what to expect in New York. Still cheaper than most other options in Manhattan.The hotel was nice but the area it is located in is dirty, yucky Chinatown. At night all the drug addicts came out and it didn't feel very safe. Kinda the reputation New York has though. Beautiful architecture, not so beautify company. It was nice to have the option of early check-in, but not nice to pay an extra $70 for it. Understandable though.

We definitely stay here again.

Liked: I loved how close it was to the airport LGA. Easy directions for driver pick-up.
Disliked: We stayed on the first floor so we didn’t hear upper subway nor traffic noise.

Very clean hotel run by...

Superb

Liked: Affordable and two blocks from the metro. I wish breakfast was included in the refundable rate but Chinatown is 10 minutes away for breakfast. Right near the train tracks but with earplugs it was not an issue. Nice rooftop balcony. Good bathroom with good lighting for makeup. Nice shower with hot water.
Disliked: My door wasn't flush to the frame so there was light in between and sound from the hall passed through. The lock still worked so I felt safe but it was a bit annoying.

Not pleasent at al!

Liked: The location is close to China Town and Downtown Manhattan
Disliked: The hotel rooms are basically hall rooms without a fridge or microwave.

Impossible to sleep

Liked: The position was fine to reach the east side, ground zero, 9/11 memorial, Wall Street, the piers and the ferry to Ellis island
Disliked: The noise! It is under the manhattan bridge and the noise of the train made impossible to sleep

Exceptional

Decent stay, great location

Liked: The location was great, 5 minute walk from the Brooklyn bridge and 5 minute walk from East Broadway subway station, which was super convenient. The staff was very friendly and nice as well.
Disliked: They definitely need to pay more attention to details when making/cleaning the room. The breakfast was ok but we would always eat afterwards because it was not enough. The room didn’t have any shelves so we had to open and close our suitcases all the time.
