Liked: Lovely vintage motel! Great location, sparkling clean pool and very clean room!!
Disliked: Beds were good but could be a tad bit more comfortable! Won’t stop me from staying again! We enjoyed the city very much! Loved having access to the campground as well! Lovely walks in the evening!

Cheery and impeccably clean

Liked: It was cozy and cheery. Impeccably clean.
Disliked: Check in at a separate location was an added step. Also, there was no hair dryer.

Liked: Our room was on of the cleanest, freshest rooms we have ever stayed in. My husband said the pool was the best he has ever swam in. Clean. Temperature. Sized enough for actually swimming. It has great curb appeal. So inviting!
Disliked: There were only a couple things that would have been helpful that we noticed. Maybe instructional paper about what to do at check out. Because the office is not on the property and business takes place at the campground office.. so we weren’t sure what to do with our keys at checkout. Plus the key is needed to lock the door from the outside when leaving. So it wasn’t possible to lock the door at checkout. And the other thing is maybe have a email address or phone number posted so guests know who to contact if there is a problem or questions that need to be answered.

Adorable motel, quiet

Liked: The location was great! It was very quiet while we were there. We didn't encounter many other guests and it was not loud at all (which I much preferred). The room was modern and very clean when we arrived! It actually looked better than the photos I saw online. I really loved the little self-serve coffee station, so cute! I didn't know this when we booked the place, but the staff at the office informed us that we have access to the other camp amenities. We went to the camp store and they had a free mini golf course! It wasn't the best of the best, but it was free.
Disliked: We were able to figure out the instructions for check in, but it was a little non traditional. You have to drive to the campsite office down the road from the motel. The staff was very friendly and helpful! In the room, the AC unit was quite loud when it was on. It did work well though. The room does not have a mini fridge or microwave. I knew that when I booked the place and was ok with it. However, when we were out for dinner in Mackinaw City, I was miffed that I couldn't keep my leftovers anywhere and had to toss them

Clean spot close to Mackinaw...

Liked: Clean, updated units in a peaceful setting. Nice staff when you see them. Hot coffee in the morning. Take the adjacent trail down to the shore of Lake Huron, and there are benches, a fire pit, and a charcoal grill for a bbq.
Disliked: Be aware of no ice machine on premises, no mini fridge, no microwave in the rooms. Bare bones, but does the job for a comfortable stay in a good location.

Disliked: Room very small. Room was very stagnant. Bathroom door didn’t close. No refrigerator. Bathroom tub facet ran/dripped nonstop. Water came out of faucet brown. Huge rust stain in bathtub. Bed pillows way too flat

Liked: Value, location, cleanliness, & the coffee hut! It was perfect for our brief stay. Really exactly what we needed for 2 nights.
Disliked: Nit-picky things...Could have used a small table/chair with a mirror. Could have used an additional night stand & bag stand for luggage. More outlets would have been nice.
