Macdonald Spey Valley Resort

Expensive but nice.

Liked: I liked the good amount of space, the peace and quiet and the facilities in the cabin. It was lovely to overlook the golf course. Lots of birds around to enjoy too. The swimming pool was nice but it was a shame that the jacuzzi wasn’t working. The staff were very friendly. Nice area for dog walking. Convenient for the town.
Disliked: I didn’t like the fact that so many people exercised their dogs off the lead on the golf course which we overlooked. Clearly ignoring the golf course rules and also winding up my dog, whilst we were inside our cabin, who gets a bit freaked out by dogs running around off the lead. The bar was also very over priced.

Passable

Liked: Excellent location and a great facility to stay at.
Disliked: Staff - very negative experience before we even arrived relating to check-in.

Perfect for exploring Aviemore
