Located within 450 acres of Northumberland parkland Linden Hall features a spa golf course and award-winning restaurant. Offering free parking and free WiFi the Georgian property is a 15-minute drive from Newcastle. The bedrooms at Macdonald Linden Hall have individual character and elegant decor. All rooms have Freeview TV and a private bathroom with bathrobes. Macdonald Linden Hall Hotel Golf & Spa has an impressive golf course with sea views. There is also a tennis court and the luxury spa has an indoor pool sauna gym and treatment rooms. The Dobson Restaurant serves an international menu and local specialties it is vailable on Friday & Saturday evenings only from October 2023. The Linden Tree Country Pub features log fires and offers a range of beverages and snacks. Just 20 minutes from the sandy beaches at Hauxley Linden Hall is only 15 minutes' drive from Northumberland National Park. Historical Morpeth is also a 15-minute drive away. We're excited to announce that our restaurant is moving to the upstairs of the Linden Tree! Rest assured the same beloved menu from Dobson will be available upstairs maintaining the exceptional service you've come to expect. Downstairs you can still enjoy our pub menu while experiencing the welcoming atmosphere of the Linden Tree.

Ok if you like golf

Liked: Nice old building and good leisure centre
Disliked: The bedroom carpet was disgusting and the staff were miserable beyond belief

Would not have stayed if...

Liked: Best part of the stay
Disliked: Room, shabby, not chic just shabby. When booking in advance why do I get an attic Room, with a window that barely opens on the hottest weekend of the year. Then I get emails asking if I want to book a night for half the price I paid....not good. Would not recommend, would not go back

Relaxed, comfortable, beautiful grounds

Liked: Nearly everything
Disliked: Breakfast. The prepaid breakfast only included certain items, such as the full English. There was a £6 surcharge for the healthier items such as egg and avocado.
