Very enjoyable, will come back...

Liked: Lovely room with nice view from window. Excellent breakfast and enjoyable meal in the Linden Tree Pub at night.
Disliked: Nothing all fine.

Extremely expensive for poor conditions.

Liked: Absolutely stunning exterior and main halls.
Disliked: Our room was looking very used and tired. It was in desperate need of a refurb. It was also dirty with a soaking wet carpet just outside the bathroom door. There was black mould on the ceiling. A shower chair covered in black mould. Dusty cobwebs all over the ceilings. I have plenty of pictures but can only upload 4. It was a very expensive stay with a double G&T costing in at a hefty £20. The breakfasts were mediocre with soggy black pudding both times.

Exceptional

Beautiful hotel if looking for...

Liked: Beautiful setting, lovely grounds. The inside of the hotel was impressive. Spa facilities were excellent.
Disliked: At check in we were greeted by an aggressive receptionist, there had been a mix up with the bookings, not the hotels fault but the way it was handled was disgraceful . She was obviously aware before we arrived and was waiting for us in a very unpleasant manner. The manager and booking.com did resolve it. However it did not need to handled that way. Every member of staff were polite and pleasant. It made me feel uncomfortable every time I had to walk through reception as her shift seemed never ending.

Liked: Location is lovely that’s about it
Disliked: Stayed 2 night and they managed to get the breakfast I ordered wrong twice then charged me double tray charges and extra for full breakfast that I already paid. The golf course was shocking, played better council courses. Worse greens ever played on, bunkers full of weeds and leaves, some full of water, course was untidy and un cut, beer bottles and drinks can just thrown all over. Kept up both nights with doors banging, drunks shouting and singing and going for fags every 10 minutes and dogs barking running about left unattended in room above.

Comfy bed, rooms need some...

Overpriced and dated

Liked: Property was ideal location for a wedding we were attending nearby. Comfortable beds
Disliked: Property seemed dated and in need of up dating. Smelt of damp in passageways.Tea and coffee facilities in room hidden in cupboard. Expensive night stay to learn breakfast not included.

Excellent stay, will return soon.

Liked: Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Comfy room, friendly staff, well kept grounds.
Disliked: Need more EV chargers. Both were in use.
