Liked: Fantastic stay, amazing views over lake and gardens. Staff went out of their way to welcome us and our little dog. Great place for relaxing quiet break, breakfast high quality with very friendly staff . Will definitely be back

Disliked: I actually requested a room upgrade but then changed my mind & received confirmation of this before arriving. The room however had been upgraded & I was charged as such upon arrival.

Perfect pet friendly night away

Liked: Hotel is stunning and very clean, parking close and easy. Pet friendly and the grounds were perfect for early morning walks with our puppy. Staff were very helpful and knowledgable.

Beautiful location and very polite...

Liked: Breakfast was very good although there were a lot of supplimentary costs for some dishes which was a little disappointing as breakfast was included in the cost.
Disliked: Generally very good although some of the furniture was a bit 'tired'

Outstanding location!

Liked: Location, garden and views are outstanding. Breakfast staff friendly and professional. Comfortable and characteristic rooms.
Disliked: Food outside of breakfast was massively overpriced. The wine was ridiculously expensive- a small red wine was £10! If it was more reasonable we think more people would be inclined to eat there. Th hotel would consequently improve their sales figures.

Disappointing

Liked: Comfy beds and pillows
Disliked: We were put into a room where the main shower wasn't working so had to struggle with a hand held shower hose which was attached to the bath taps so not ideal plus when we reported it they blatantly new, so not very happy especially when the room was £200 for the 1 night was expecting luxury from a grand hotel. The hotel is looking very tired with worn carpets and stains on our room carpet in need of some upgrades. Food and alcohol very expensive will not be returning unfortunately and me and my husband had always wanted to stay there what a disappointment 🙃
