Liked: Very comfortable room
Disliked: I asked everyday while we were there if the ends could be cleaned up!Cigarette ends were always outside our exit door window-the guests upstairs must have thrown out the ends of the cigarette from the window!!!!The hallway always smelt of cigarette smoke!!!

Beautiful location, great service ans...

Liked: The hotel is full of character. It’s an exceptional property. The staff are really lovely.
Disliked: Our towels were changed daily in our 4 day stay - this seemed excessive. We also didn’t have the bathmat replaced, just taken away. Housekeeping was a bit slapdash. The milk and tea wasn’t refreshed until we asked for it, which I also find unusual.

Liked: The rooms are very good the breakfast is excellent The evening meal is always perfectly cooked but a very fixed and expensive menu especially the wine but that again is very good. It is a very good and relaxing hotel with very good facilities and for me working in Livingston its ideal.

Liked: Nice location and grounds Small but well equipped gym with a good range of equipment Pool looked good and warm, spa facilities but didn’t use them
Disliked: Feels like a tired refurb of an old building, room was heated by electric heaters so it was cold on arrival and didn’t ever feel just right, bathroom window didn’t close securely so this didn’t help.On the morning they had no gas in the kitchen so couldn’t have any cooked food, so we had just some tea, gluten free cereal, fruit, cheese & ham not a great start really, upon checkout we were told it was sorted quickly (not while we sat there 8:30-9ish) and not offered any compensation on the room rate or anything which I was surprised at.
