Liked: Breakfast was excellent. We loved the haggis and the staff are amazing.
Disliked: Suggestion: Access control to the different floors could be installed in the elevator so that only the guests can access their own floor as I have seen in some other hotel lifts. This would increase security since the spa is located in the basement and has an external public access door for external persons that are not guests at the hotel. Thanks

Liked: Perfect location, rooms comfortable. Air con is a little slow at coming on and the rooms are very warm but it was still a lovely stay. Friendly staff, helpful at all times.
Disliked: On the spa floor, outside the lift was very dirty. Lose broken tiles pushed into a corner, a can of lilt, other rubbish that had been left which looked very untidy. The rooms being a little warm but it wouldnt stop me from staying again.

Liked: Nice looking hotel, staff were very friendly.
Disliked: We had late check out which we sorted the day we got there, the cleaners came into our room thinking it was empty.

3 night stay

Liked: Breakfast had a very good selection from continental, pastries, cooked options to requesting specific menu items, such as smoked salmon, waffles or omelette. All for £12 if booked the night before. On the day would be £18. Our room was spacious with gd facilities. As a group of friends, we used the bar, which had nice areas to sit. We also had a 3 course meal on the evening of our arrival, although minimal choice everything ordered was cooked & presented to a high standard. We didn't drive on this ocassion, but paid parking was available across the road at 'Dynamic Earth', which was definitely worth a visit. The hotel has recently been taken over by Marriot, and some updating works were being completed, but this did not affect us as we were up & sorted by the time any noise started, approx 9.00am
Disliked: Beds good quality, bit firm for us. Only 1 lift so at busier times often used stairs.
