Disliked: Our shower curtain in room 105 had black mould on it, the towels for the spa were very small

Good hotel in great location

Liked: Great location in lovely valley close to Peebles. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Good facilities.
Disliked: Restaurant food very average and pricey for what it was. Service a bit slow on the night.

Lovely hotel, I will be...

Liked: Had a lovely time, 2 night break away with work, the food was great, breakfast was good, the pool and access to the facilities is good and just 5 minutes drive away from Peebles, which in itself is a beautiful town to visit.
Disliked: Evening meals quite expensive for what you get, still nice though.

Liked: The surrounding areas were beautiful and some lovely walks
Disliked: Cleanliness, dead flies on the window sills in the bar downstairs, dirty tables in the bar asked for a cloth to clean the table handed it while the bar staff stood watching me do their job. The room was not cleaned and had to ask housekeeping for fresh towels and replenish coffee and sugar .
