Very expensive for what it...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: Air con not working and a very small room next to the car park with car alarms through the night.

Disliked: I don't expect a lift in an old property but stairway to room was very steep . Confusing layout of hotel . I struggled find my room No tea or coffee facilities in the room but then why would they when a coffee at the bar cost £5.20!

Liked: Breakfast was very good, hot buffet was indeed hot (which is unusual) and service very efficient, hot drinks served to table, tea in a teapot so well done on breakfast!Friendly barHotel overall a little 'tired', time for a revamp maybe
Disliked: Parking charge - is it really necessary to charge an additional £7 per night to park a car in the vast hotel grounds?Room was uncomfortably warm, AC did not do much, the provided fan just circulated warm air

Great stay

Liked: Lovely property in its own private grounds, very dog friendly and peaceful and a great location for walks and town centre. Rooms were great and spacious, clean and comfortable. Food was good.
Disliked: Wedding on the first evening made it hard to visit the bar and other shared facilities. Check in slow.

Disliked: Staff at breakfast were very rude We had no sleep as two dogs were in the room next to us barking all night
