Liked: We loved the atmosphere and ambience of the hotel. The staff were excellent and attentive.
Disliked: A few ants in the bathroom.

Very poor

Disliked: Needs renovating, gone very downhill, no bath matt provided so be careful when using bath/shower

The hotel of choice when...

Liked: A very comfortable hotel situated a few minutes walk from the town centre. Our bedroom was large, well maintained, and with the a comfortable bed and good lighting. Parking was easy and convenient in the hotel grounds. The staff are very helpful and welcoming . We have stayed at this hotel many times and will continue to stay there when we are in the area.
Disliked: Two chairs in the bedroom not just one for a double room.

Excellent place to stay

Liked: The property is fairly old with modern facilities. Very comfortable accommodation. It’s in a good position for visiting Stratford upon Avon
Disliked: Nothing

We did enjoy our stay...

Liked: Location was ideal for Stratford on Avon town. The hotel was old and had lots of character and charm. The breakfast was excellent with good quality food.
Disliked: We were not given the room we booked on Booking.com, which we specifically chose for the period features. We were given a room in the modern annex. However, after an unhelpful member of staff on the desk finally found someone in charge to speak to, they upgraded us to a lovely room. It did upset me to begin with, but it was resolved. The lounge area was unattended when we arrived for a coffee on Sunday evening.

Perfect for the location

Liked: The staff were all exceptional. So helpful and engaging. The rooms were spacious and clean. Great atmosphere.
Disliked: Steps throughout, whilst small, were hard for my elderly parents. Though the staff were very obliging when we needed assistance. None of the bedrooms have a walk-in shower. My elderly parents, therefore, were stuck with a wash only and my brother was afraid of falling getting in and out of the bath.

Liked: There was never anyone at reception Breakfast was late and cold We were asked to pay a supplement even before breakfast arrived Staff are friendly but it seems to me that training and management are lacking
