Beautiful view - lovely heritage...

Liked: The property offers a 5-star experience in many ways — beautifully maintained with a stunning view and a charming Old English/Victorian atmosphere. The staff were friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to help, including arranging a more accessible room for my parents and allowing a later checkout.Breakfast was great — we especially appreciated the thoughtful presentation.
Disliked: Some aspects felt closer to a 3-star level. The walls in the room were quite thin, and some of the in-room amenities were standard to a 3 star hotel. Also, due to the size and age of the building, some rooms are less accessible and involve a lot of stairs — something to be mindful of if mobility is a concern.

Liked: Amazing view from dining area with lovely food, comfortable room, good location to travel into Keswick, friendly helpful staff. Would recommend to anyone travelling to the Lakes
Disliked: Only let down was not having a mini fridge in the room for bottled drinks we had

This hotel is top class...

Liked: Room was luxurious with fantastic views of the mountains, hotel decor is beautiful, outside terrace has breathtaking views, Staff are professional, friendly and helpful, comfy lounge area for relaxing, restaurant also has amazing views and the food is fantastic, pretty gardens, short drive into Keswick.
Disliked: We found it a bit odd that at breakfast, there was no cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc you only got the option of a cooked breakfast, as this hotel is more on the expensive side, we would have expected a full breakfast offering. We also found the price of drinks very expensive, £22.50 for a large glass of wine! Evening meal options were only 2 courses for £45 per person or 3 courses for £55 per person, no option to just have a main course.

Liked: Magical location. Beautiful communal areas and views. Relaxed. Food is incredible.
Disliked: Very little we didn't like. The rooms are a tad dated but spotless nonetheless and in no way detracts from the experience.

Liked: This hotel is absolutely stunning! The views are amazing and the outdoor seating is exceptional. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Hotel itself is clean, rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is beautiful. Would highly recommend anyone to experience this gorgeous hotel.
Disliked: There is nothing i did not like about this hotel.
