Liked: The views from the hotel are really beautiful, and you can enjoy them from the restaurant and when sitting outside under the covered or open seating. Staff are really friendly and attentive, and the hotel isn't too far from a trail to Skiddaw peak. There's a bus stop on the main road right outside the entrance to the hotel too if needed, parking is good at the hotel and it's easy to get in and out. Rooms are nice and cosy, as is the rest of the hotel. It was really peaceful and quiet, very relaxing little weekend.

Liked: The restaurant has nice views and good food. Very nice a la carte breakfast selection including Greek yoghurt with granola and berries, avocado and poached eggs, traditional English breakfast. Dinner is fine dining and we enjoyed good beef and fish, nicely cooked vegetables, good starters and desserts. There is a good wine list and with some by the glass. Make sure to reserve a window table in advance. Our room was large, quiet and comfortable with good views.
Disliked: Nothing of importance.

Liked: Beautiful room. Staff very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Food delicious and beautifully served. Spectacular setting.
Disliked: I found the stairs a bit taxing but help was readily given.

Liked: The whole stay was an experience. The view from the terrace was absolutely stunning, the food was excellent, and the staff were really nice and friendly

Disliked: The shower needs updating but otherwise the bathroom was good.
