Superb

Liked: Visiting family nearby, we were upgraded to a suite, which was lovely and unexpected.Staff welcoming and friendly. Great buffet breakfast.
Disliked: Hotel no longer accepts cash. We prefer the choice of how to pay for drinks etc.

Disliked: We had chicken tempura, chicken was hard inside/ chewable/ People outside partying until 2.15amI do feel rooms are overpricedAnd for a Scottish breakfast don't feel there was that much choice at cooked breakfast

Overall very enjoyable with just...

Liked: The room was larger than I expected and well laid out/equipped. The furnishing of the rooms and social areas in the hotel was relatively new and to a high standard. Breakfast and dinner were well presented and tasty although unfortunately not what I ordered as a result of my late arrival.
Disliked: Although the room was well sound proofed from noise in adjacent rooms and the corridor, a large gathering in the ballroom did generate significant sound that went on beyond a reasonable bedtime hour.

Liked: We booked a standard room but it was much spacious than I expected.Plenty of outdoor seating areas if the weather is good. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Not that it was a big problem but I thought breakfast on the saturday morning was a bit unorganised. Most people had to ask for tea/coffee/water rather than asked by staff.

Convenient and comfortable stay on...

Liked: The room was spacious and comfortable. Big bathroom with a good shower. Close to train station with free parking only two stops from Glasgow Central
Disliked: Lighting in the room was inadequate, especially the bedside lamp. Shower over bath is not safe for elderly clients unless a handrail is installed. One staff member was strangely difficult to deal with. All others were great! Breakfast buffet supplied no utensils for serving cereals of fruit or yoghurt or toast - guests handling food.
