Exceptional
Liked: Great location, far enough away but silll close to town. The pods are nice, a little stuffy in a way that the fans don't quite deal with adequately for the noise they make.Great wifi.and lots of space to work away if you don't want to hang out in your pod
Disliked: Ordered the burger and pint deal for thr Monday special, was charged individually for them though. So an oversight on the staff member showing poor trainingAlso, the pod assigned to me was already occupied so grabbed another one, but had an unsettling ache that I had taken someone else's

Regular customer, wouldn’t return after...
Liked: I have stayed at Lylo numerous times before this, it is a good location for what I need during my visits to Auckland.
Disliked: The room had someone’s false eyelashes under the bed, there are only two hooks in the double room but one was fallen off the wall so there was only one tiny hook to hang two towels, lots of scuffs all over the walls, there was a speaker directly our door which played music early and woke us up. The fridges were also extremely full in the kitchen with labels on food from early April. (3 weeks ago) Unfortunately during this stay, the staff were the most unhelpful I’ve have experienced during my trips to Lylo.

Disliked: I had a safety issue. I booked an ALL girls pod, went to sleep and woke up to 2 male voices, they told me they were booked in my pod. I paid extra for the all girls pod. Decided to check out a day early, relayed my concerns to the gentleman at the front desk. They were fully booked and could not accommodate. He also told me that I would not be receiving a refund for the second day even though it was due to a safety issue. I had a terrible experience. The hostel was located on a STEEP incline, not close to any restaurants. Also tried to resolve these charges and dispute the safety issue with my bank and the manager of the Lylo just blatantly refused. You kept your money but definitely lost a customer. This could have been rectified by a refund since you were unable to accommodate another room. But Lyle management chose to do NOTHING.
