Horrible - all they care...

Liked: Very noisy doors slamming between 00:30 and 2.30am Saw 5 bottles of wine outside one room so I assume they were having a party hence the noise. Didn’t sleep I was told by hotel it was not 2 single beds however when I got there it was 2 single beds pushed together not a a large bed as advertised. Management very rude. All this hotel cares about is getting your money. I was crying as I did not want to stay for a second night and management told me I can go home but they won’t refund my money for the night I don’t stay. I was so happy when I got home. I have stayed in many 5 star spa hotels and the only word I have for this hotel is horrible. All this hotel cares about is getting your money. They really don’t care if you have a nice stay or not. Massage - lovely ladies in the spa however the 55 minute massage was from 11:05 until 11:50 so it was not 55 minutes. For the money you pay I would expect the full 55 minutes Brasserie - lovely food and lovely staff Management - need to be replaced. I was a solo traveller and I had 2 male management in a room with me being very rude not caring about anything I said. All they offered was a change in room when I made it clear whilst crying I just wanted to go home. They kept saying “you won’t be getting a refund” and one said “you can go home but you will still pay for the night you don’t stay” Contacted Booking.com said they would get back to me 3 times and still they haven’t responded to me. When I called and chased them they said they are waiting for the hotel to contact them as the hotel are not responding to them

Nice stay watch high service...

Liked: Lovely room, great pool and saunas, showers cold.
Disliked: Didn’t book bed and breakfast, no option to change at hotel quite then expensive. Extras bill had charges that were not mine, service charge put on all food charges ie 2 pints of Pepsi from 19th hole £9.80 plus £4.50 service charge that I ordered from the bar, fair enough when i complained they removed them but if I had not checked i might not have noticed 2 phone calls to reception toRectify.

Liked: Beautiful grounds and mansion house. Staff were so friendly, big shout out to Chris the doorman who was so warm and cheerful. The staff at Adam’s brasserie went above and beyond. Lots of great food options for breakfast and dinner. The gym had a really good selection of machines and free weights. The rooms were slightly old fashioned but we thought ours was beautiful and it had a really good amount of space.
Disliked: My partner enjoyed the golf course. The golf course could have been maintained to a higher quality, it needs a little TLC in some areas but this may have been down to recent wet weather.
