Acceptable accommodation in Auckland

Liked: The host was friendly and responsive and the unit had lots of facilities (mid-size fridge, full stove with oven, an outside eating area, etc.) It would be easy to self-cater meals while staying in Auckland for several days at Lush & Co.
Disliked: Of the dozen or so places we stayed in New Zealand, we would rate this one lowest. The unit was in need of better cleaning and some minor maintenance and repair. Also, there was a pervasive petroleum or solvent odour.

Liked: It was in a great position for our trip further north the following day. Lots of eateries nearby for dinner. We were greeted at the door, with lots of useful information in the room too. Terrific breakfast to get us going in the morning
